Anastasia Warm Bronze, Fudge, Tara Lip Glosses
Anastasia Warm Bronze Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a slightly muted, medium-dark reddish-copper with warm undertones and fine, lighter gold pearl. It rich, opaque color coverage that applied beautifully–smooth, even color that sat well on the lips. The formula was comfortable to wear, mostly non-tacky, and lasted for a solid five hours while hydrating my lips. MAC Enchanter (LE, $20.00) is more shimmery, less pigmented (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Shooting Stars (316) (DC, $28.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Black Tea (LE, $19.00) is darker (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Anastasia Fudge Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a muted, reddish-brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. The pigmentation was fantastic–completely opaque–and covered beautifully. The consistency was light-to-medium in weight, mostly non-sticky, and comfortable as it wasn’t too thick or too thin. This shade wore nicely for just over five hours and was hydrating while I wore it. MAC Fab Tested (LE, $20.00) is lighter, cooler (85% similar). MAC Krazy Kahuna (LE, $15.00) is brighter, warmer (85% similar). NARS More (P, $24.00) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). Anastasia Sepia (P) is lighter (80% similar). Maybelline Almond Aura (130) (LE) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). MAC Kiss Don't Tell (LE, $20.00) is lighter (80% similar). Anastasia Tara (P) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). Anastasia Tara Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium-dark copper-brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. It was intensely pigmented with smooth, even coverage that was easy to spread across the lips. The texture was comfortable to wear, but it seemed a little more slippery compared to other shades. It didn’t feather on me, but that isn’t something I experience frequently. This shade lasted for five hours on me and was moisturizing over time. MAC Kiss Don't Tell (LE, $20.00) is more muted (95% similar). Anastasia Sepia (P) is darker, more muted (90% similar). NARS More (P, $24.00) is lighter, more muted, less glossy (90% similar). Maybelline Almond Aura (130) (LE) is lighter, brighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Krazy Kahuna (LE, $15.00) is darker, brighter (85% similar). Anastasia Fudge (P) is darker, cooler (80% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | Anastasia Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is supposed to be “opaque” with “high-shine” that’s “non-drying.” It is one of the more pigmented lipglosses out there that has a smoother, more cushion-y consistency that typically spreads well across the lips. Some shades gather in lip lines, and some shades apply streaky; it seems more common with lighter shades and milkier colors. The formula is non-sticky initially and develops slight tackiness over time. My experience from wearing the formula is that they are often lightly to moderately hydrating and wear three to five hours. They have a vanilla scent that isn’t too overpowering nor does it linger once applied (I notice it mostly in the tube).
