Tom Ford Collin, Cary, Didier, Guillermo, Wes Lip Colors
Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.07 oz.) is segmented into color families, and this post features the “plums.” I loved how the range incorporated cooler and warmer-toned plums and from lighter to deeper shades. This was one of the better-performing families in the 50-shade range.
Collin Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plummy rose with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that went on evenly and was comfortable to wear. The consistency was lightly creamy, while this shade lasted for four and a half hours on me and was lightly hydrating. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Cary Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a warm, plummy red with a satin finish. It’s darker and warmer compared to Collin with a redder tone to it overall. It had mostly opaque color coverage that applied evenly and looked smooth on the lips. It wore well for five hours on me, was lightly hydrating, and comfortable to wear. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Didier Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a cool-toned, berry-red with subtle fuchsia shimmer. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that covered evenly but the natural lip color will come through so those with more naturally pigmented lips may find this turns redder. The color lasted well for five hours, was lightly hydrating, and left behind a subtle stain. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Guillermo Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a plummy brown with warm undertones and a very fine, softened gold shimmer. It had mostly opaque color payoff with a creamy, easy-to-apply consistency that went on smoothly and evenly. This shade wore well for five hours on me and was nicely hydrating over time. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Wes Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a deepened, burgundy-red with ruby red shimmer. It was semi-opaque with a very slippery, emollient consistency that tended to move around. I had feathering with this shade after three hours of wear (total wear time was five), and I don’t usually get feathering. It tended to sink into lip lines and could look streaky, particularly if you pressed your lips together. I think this one needs a lip pencil and to be applied using a lip brush to be wearable. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
